Billie Eilish Sits In Spotify’s Top Spot On The Worldwide Charts

Melancholic and moving, Billie Eilish’s music has had a lasting impact on so many of us. Since she went viral with the hit “Ocean Eyes,” in 2015, she has had the music industry wrapped around her little finger and nothing proves this more than her Instagram post from two days ago.

In the post, the singer showed a screenshot from Spotify listing her as “1st in the world,” with a staggering 100,105,704 monthly listeners. She captioned the post “number 1 in the world on Spotify. I really can’t believe this. I love you all so much. This is the craziest thing ever.”

The “Bad Guy,” singer has secured this spot for two reasons: her incredible third album “HIT ME HARD AND SOFT,” and her feature on Charli XCX’s new album “Brat.” 

“HIT ME HARD AND SOFT,” was released on the 17th of May and has given us the chart-topping hits “BIRDS OF A FEATHER,” and “LUNCH.” “BIRDS OF A FEATHER,” even reached platinum, promoting Billie to share her amazement in an Instagram post captioned “birds of a feather just went platinum :’( jesus christttttt,” on the 14th of August. 

Charli XCX’s song “Guess,” featuring Billie has also helped this all come into fruition. The upbeat sultry track has done incredibly well, rising to number one at the start of August. It still remains a popular streaming choice for many and is often heard on TikTok. 

So, this all tells us one thing: Billie Eilish is the one to beat. Let’s just see if she can keep this up and reign supreme for years to come.
