Madison Beer may be effortlessly beautiful but she is so much more than a pretty face. The 25-year-old singer-songwriter has a voice that will truly blow you away and her new single “15 Minutes,” definitely proves that.
Hot on the heels of her second to last ‘Spinnin,’ tour and her new ‘The Encore,’ tour, Madison has released her new song and produced a music video for it with LA-based director Aerin Moreno. The song is an upbeat number with the potential to be a club classic.
The song details a girl’s desire to meet up with her lover after having a “crazy thought in her head.” Its catchy lyrics tell us that the girl (who we presume to be Madison) was lying in bed just 15 minutes ago before she made the rash decision to find her lover and live out her fantasies.
The energetic tune is a relatable one for any girl who has ever found herself daydreaming about taking a leap in her relationship.
The music video that accompanies the song is also just as catchy as the song itself, with Madison entering an abandoned cabin in the wilderness and becoming trapped within its walls. The video perfectly matches the beat of the song as the quick-paced scene changes keep us hooked.
For me, it seems that the video shows us the metaphor that Madison is trapped by her own conscience. She knows that she shouldn’t indulge in her own fantasies, but she keeps digging deeper anyway. This leaves her more trapped as she finds that she is running in circles and not ending up where she wants to be.
If this is true, I’d say this is perfectly portrayed and beautifully done. Madison is well known for her creative music videos and it’s always a delight to watch them. I hope she continues to make such engaging content for us as it’s brilliant to watch.
If you haven’t seen the video yet, you can check it out on YouTube. You may also listen to the song on all streaming platforms. Information on who worked on production can also be found on Madison’s Instagram so feel free to check that out as well.
