Cast your mind back to the Musical.ly days and amongst the memories of lipsyncing and music covers you might just remember Carson Lueders.

Carson Lueders found fame on the popular platform “Musical.ly,” after his videos gained traction and some of the app’s members recognized him from his viral YouTube covers.

The singer-songwriter became a sensation from an early age and cemented his success by releasing songs of his own. Perhaps, some of the most recognisable tunes in his discography would be the upbeat “Bae Back,” and the romantic “Remember Summertime.” Both of these tunes have stood the test of time, with their streams booming years after their initial releases.

However, as iconic as these songs may be, fans have been waiting for something new since 2022.  His most recent release (“Plans 4 U”) was on the 28th of October 2022 and news of what’s to come has been difficult to come by. But, worry not Carson fans! I’ve got news for you. Last Friday Carson took to Instagram to announce that he is in a new era of music. This means that new content should be on the horizon and there should be new songs to stream soon.

In Friday’s post, Carson shared a video of himself strolling down a field and singing a snippet from an unreleased song. The song is not unlike his previous songs as it seems to have a pop-based influence and catchy lyrics.

We can only assume that Carson is emerging into this new musical era with some fresh ideas, but with the same vocals and genres that we know and love. That seems to be the case anyway.

The video he posted to tease his new era seems reminiscent of the “Make You Laugh,” music video he released in 2019 and is therefore very on-brand. We’ll just have to keep our eyes on the posts that follow to see how “on-brand” he is planning to be.

Will we hear some guitar? Will there be some featured artists? As of now, these questions have been left unanswered. We’re just going to have to keep our eyes peeled and wait patiently.
