Sometimes A Bit Awkward But Always A Laugh: Let’s Talk About Max & Harvey’s New Podcast

Fans of Max & Harvey know EXACTLY how these boys can be: ridiculously funny, witty, and sarcastic.  The boys have been saying the most hilarious jokes since they rose to fame on Musical.ly in 2016 (trust me on this one. Musical.ly might’ve been better known for its lip-syncing but these boys were still showing the funny sides of themselves on the app back in its day). That’s why it's not difficult to see why their new podcast ’13 Again,’ has the same comical and clever tone as the pair.

The podcast features the two brothers alongside their little sister Tilly and covers a range of seemingly random topics. Last week they discussed skipping Disneyland queues and this week… Well, let’s just say the topic is one that they DIDN’T want to discuss with their little sister. Yet, they did, of course. That’s the whole point.

Max and Harvey’s approach to these topics is like you’d expect. There’s a lot of awkward tension but equally a lot of “not safe for work,” jokes as I’d like to put it. I’m not entirely sure if all of this gets noticed by Tilly but it’s funny nonetheless.

Watching Max stumble over his words as he tries to explain the topic in the third episode is quite possibly my favourite moment. I don’t think anything else could quite encompass how the next few episodes are likely to go. Knowing the twins, some inappropriate comment will be made and we’ll watch at least one of them explain themselves in agonising detail. That’s my kind of content.

So, should you listen to the podcast? If you’d like to know what the siblings would do with people skipping the queue or engaging in personal activities then sure, why not? I know that I’ll be an avid listener from now on.
